In addition, metal inhibitors and defoamer additives are incorporated into this special oil. For enhanced performance in hydraulic applications, it has a particularly high viscosity index. AeroShell Fluid 41 (EU) is suitable for operation in a wide temperature range.
AeroShell Fluid 41 (EU) is colored red.
· "Superclean" purity class
The British specification DEF STAN 91-48 contains two grades ("normal" and "superclean") of mineral hydraulic fluids, which differ only in the purity requirements. AeroShell Fluid 41 (EU) is produced and filled in such a way that it fulfills the "Superclean" requirement. It also meets the requirements of "normal grades" at the same time.

Specifications, approvals and recommendations
· MIL-PRF-5606J
· Approved according to DEF STAN 91-48 class "Superclean"
· Approved by COMAC according to QPL-CMS-OL-104
Approved according to DCSEA 415 / A (French)
Meets DEF STAN 91-48 class normal *
Analogous to AMG-10 (Russian)
NATO Code H-515 (equivalent to H-520)
Joint Service Designation OM-15 * (equivalent to OM-18)

AeroShell Fluid 41 (EU) is compatible with AeroShell Fluid 4, 31, 51, 61 and 71 and SSF / LGF.

AeroShell Fluid 41 (EU) is primarily used in all modern aircraft hydraulic systems. AeroShell Fluid 41 (EU) is particularly suitable when "Superclean" oils are required; these can also contribute to component reliability. It can be used in aircraft systems that operate in temperature ranges from -540C to 900C (unpressurized) and -540C to 1350C (under pressure).
AeroShell Fluid 41 (EU) should be used in systems with synthetic rubber components and not in systems with natural rubber components.

Hydraulic components operated with AeroShell Fluid 41 (EU) should not be cleaned with chlorinated solvents. Remnants of the cleaner can contaminate the hydraulic oil and thus lead to corrosion on the components. Due to its properties, it is also used in several industrial applications.
