Shell Refrigeration Oil S4 FR-V provides excellent thermal and chemical stability, allowing extended oil change intervals even at high compressor end temperatures. It has also been developed to reduce deposits and mud formation when oil exchange intervals are prolonged compared to mineral oil-based refrigeration oils.

Shell Refrigeration Oil S4 FR-V meets the requirements of DIN 51503 KAA and KC.

Compatibility and miscibility
· Compatibility with refrigerants
Shell Refrigeration Oil S4 FR-V has been developed for the use of the most common refrigerants:
Ammonia (R717) systems, providing excellent performance, even at high compressor end temperatures or at low evaporating temperatures of -33 ° C or lower.
Carbon dioxide (R744) systems.
CFC and HCFC systems (R12 and R22).
Hydrocarbon systems such as propane (R290).
· Compatibility with sealing materials
Shell Refrigeration Oil S4 FR-V is compatible with the sealing materials commonly used for mineral oil.
· Compatible with other lubricants
Shell Refrigeration Oil S4 FR-V is miscible with mineral oil, other alkylbenzenes and PAO-based lubricants.
