Ice crystals in fuel are a significant risk in aviation because they can block lines and filters. Frost protection prevents this scenario. With the additive KEROFLUID® MIL-AL-41 we bring the necessary dose of safety into the tank. This Fuel System Icing Inhibitor (FSII) is specially designed for use in military jets and small aircraft and has the corresponding approvals. KEROFLUID® MIL-AL-41 thus complements the BASF portfolio of tried and tested additives for aviation fuels.

Treat rate interval:
0,07 – 0,10 % vol. to meet MIL-DTL-83133H
0,10 – 0,15 % vol. to meet DEF Stan 91-91

Maximum shelf life of 24 months if stored in sealed containers in acontrolled environment below 35°C

KEROFLUID® MIL-AL-41 fuel system icing inhibitor is an antiicing additive for aviation turbine fuels. When present in jet fuel, it depresses the freezing point of water to temperatures that are in the vicinity of the freezing point of jet fuel itself. As a result, issues associated with ice formation are mitigated.

BASF is a leading supplier of fuel performance packages worldwide. Our aviation fuel additives help reduce the costs of aviation maintenance, reduce coking issues and sustain the efficient operation of high-performance gas turbines. Beyond that, BASF's additives improve health and safety for maintenance crews by avoiding the use of less suitable additive solutions and regular draining procedures to prevent ice formation and bacteria developing in the fuel system.
